VBS Cresheim

Chestnut Hill/Mt. Airy residents -- Cresheim Valley Church is hosting a week long Vacation Bible School August 4-8 at the church location (Masonic Lodge, 8425 Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill). Voyagers "Faith Expedition" is intended as an outreach to children ages 5-7, 8-10, and 10-13. It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Contact Alex Graham (865-804-1806 or alexander.graham@yahoo.com) to register or to help. Tenth families are invited to come and bring neighbors. CVC plans to follow up on all non-churched families.

Street closures will occur on Rittenhouse Square Street

Street closures will occur on Rittenhouse Square Street between 17th and 18th the next 2 weekends:

  • June 19 for pouring concrete slab and new condos going up. Spruce and 17th will remain open, but people will see police presence and construction activity
  • The following weekend 17th will also be closed from Locust to Spruce for erecting the crane .

Volunteers Needed Saturday

Volunteers are needed this Saturday, July 19, to help with the final installation of quarter round base at 315. Having some carpentry skills is a plus. David Kent will be there to perform and direct the work and will need 2-3 people to assist.
